Lol not when you were also using me in the same example. Now everyone envisages me as a round dot! I guess I'll put to death the vanity and forgive you.You don't like round markers?
Idk. I don't know much about epithet perspective, but something that gets me is how does Polaris exist? It's the "North star" that all other stars circle perfectly around. They've always done that ever since creation and it's never changed. They can even be tracked to the day according to their clockwork like pattern going around us. You'll always have Virgo then Libra then scorpio then...it's a constantly repeating pattern perfectly in synch always. How does that happen if we're traveling hundreds of thousands of miles an hour and have been doing so since creation? I wouldn't think it'd be possible. So, if I can see the horizon and put a marker there, and then I drive my car past that point, how is this possible?

Sorry OP for going OT (off topic not old testament)
Maybe most of you are a bit rough around the edges.Nice of you to round out your post with an apology. Don’t always see that ‘round here.
I'm sure you have a tool for that!Maybe most of you are a bit rough around the edges.
Gravity is a force, not a lock.
Gravity holds you to the Earth, nevertheless, you can move (though not off of the Earth).
Air acts in very similar manner ...

Hmmm so what is the distance that they will work underground? It seems to me like false advertising at its best!If you can find a stretch of earth flat enough (no pun...) you can test out the FE idea with a couple of hand held radios. An average set in theory should work up to about 25 miles, but the earth’s curvature will limit that to 4-6 miles, over flat ground.
How can gravity hold me but it can't hold a baloon ?

If a balloon is filled with helium, which is lighter than air, it will rise to the point where its mass matches that of the thinner air around it.
So isn't there a bit of a logical fallacy there? The walkie talkies have never been proven to work at 24 miles, but the fact they only work at 4 - 6 miles proves this is due to the curvature of the Earth?Underground? Dunno, not so far unless in an open tunnel. The frequency used by hand held radios needs more or less line of sight, unlike commercial radio signals. On a flat bit of ground only the curvature of the earth would reduce the distance to around 4-6 miles. If one or both people were high above the ground then you could get line of site and so a longer distance for comms. Nb I don’t mean cheap walkie talkies, but reasonably high powered hand helds.
There's been two changes. All have occurred suddenly. One was after Jesus was sacrificed. The incredible distances involved keep the patterns fairly constant, though science has detected a trend of minor (observable) change ...
Does that include a difference in atmospheric pressure too? Either way, if one needs to be in the air to achieve a 25mile communication I think a disclaimer ought to be printed on the box.Underground? Dunno, not so far unless in an open tunnel. Aren't we blessed with such variation. Mountains and valleys, fields, streams and oceans!People can and do use them at longer distances - if one or both are above the earth, e.g on a mountain. Mountain rescue services in my home county can contact base from certain mountain peaks, where there are no obstructions, over distances longer than a few miles. At about 4-6 miles on flat ground though the signal would not be able to penetrate the earth in a direct line of sight.

(PS. I used to be able to see 20.5miles on a clear day. Could see BT tower in Birmingham from a village in Derbyshire. )
Smoke signals might work just as well in good weather conditions? (I don't believe how far, or rather near, we are said to be able to see.)So isn't there a bit of a logical fallacy there?
