A Prayer For Everyone Else
By Neia N. Williams a.k.a. 3.1.6
This is for the suicidal people trying to do summersaults off the bridge,
And all the shorties in the hood with no food in the fridge,
To all the young men in the ghetto with a closet full of Rest In Peace shirts,
The mothers whose child's last ride was in an all black hirsch.
I'm dedicating this one to the single mothers living off welfare,
All those that's lost in this world and not giving a care,
To all the people that go to church but don't walk the Christian walk,
And the sexually abused child that's thinking its all their fault.
I can't forget to pray for the soldiers fighting in Iraq,
Even the Afro-American whom this country wants to hold back,
All the little babies being shot up in drive-bys,
I'm even praying for those living without Jesus; living in the devil's lies.
Oh yeah, I can't leave out the daddies that's struggling to make ends meet,
I pray for all the people that are out living on the streets,
My prayer is that all those that are lost, sick, and even shut-in,
Don't give up, but instead seek God whom is waiting to be let in.
I pray for those that don't believe will understand that Jesus Christ is the only way,
Don't put off salvation, we are not promised tomorrow, or any other day,
I pray that someday, somehow, the truth your blinded eyes will see,
That Christ is waiting for you, He loves you, thats why He died up on Calvary.
I pray that you don't give up, but look up towards the most High,
And understand that it is okay to be afraid at first, it's okay to cry,
I pray that your situations don't take control of you, but you control of it,
I pray that you truly understand how necessary it is for you not to quit.
So to all the people I pray for, which is everyone on this earth,
Just realize and acknowledge that sinning, anger, madness, and shame have no worth,
And realize that the Lord is not out to hurt you in any crazy way,
And understand that eternal life in hell and sorrow are a terrible price to pay.
