I've often wondered - If the Devil is "The Deceiver" and as I've so often heard "God is evident in his creation"...
How are we to know that the Devil didn't write the Bible by whispering in the ears of the inspired?
With this in mind, would it not make more sense to believe in what the Nature of God's creation tells us?
Just a question that often strikes me when people so vehemently defend the literal word.
Or...how does one know that God was not lying when he claimed he cannot lie?
Because the definition of God.
You think you are smart by ask this logic puzzle? Shameful.
How did you come about that definition, juve? From the Bible, right? So, if God is a liar, hypothetically, wouldn't that definition be flawed?
Of course not.
Simple logic mind. When will you start to learn?

I would imagine that to the devil the ends justify the means.
Again, if God is evident in his creation, wouldn't the devil need something to throw us off the scent? Literal interpretation of the Bible does not agree with reality as we know it and has a lot of people convinced that the evidence we find in God's creation is a lie.
It's simply a thought that arises in my head. A hypothetical if you will, as I don't necessarily believe in Gods and Devils.

If you go to the Genesis and the story of Eve and the eating of the Apple and sin coming into the world.
This is huge. Satan was able to say to Eve DIRECTLY what God said about not eating the fruit from the tree of Good and Evil. He knew what God said.
Then he planted DOUBT into Eve's MIND about the fact that she wasn't really going to DIE, but she would Know some new knowledge.
Then he decieved her with his sneaky words.
The point here is
1. Satan can qoute scripture.
2. Satan puts DOUBTs in our MINDS
3. Satan twists what God says
4. Satan tempts us with what sounds good, and tasty!
5. Satan throws us off the sent by putting doubt in our minds about God, he knows our minds very well, how it works, BUT he doesn't know our every thought, and he knows what we like (our human flesh)
If the devil's goal is to get people to follow him instead of God, writing the Bible is perhaps one of the worst things he could have done to accomplish that. Just look how many Christians there are in the world compared to (theistic) Satanists.

Because believing that Satan in a deceiver you also believe that God is involved against him as well right?
Well with that would God allow for such a foundation against him by letting Satan right the Bible through people who were falsely inspired.
Apparently. I find it interesting that the devil seems to have almost free reign on earth.
He does but he still is a created being, Gods lets us make our own choices and he wants us to love God by choice, but he wouldn't abandon us and leave no chance to know him.
To who's satisfaction? yours or ours?Actually, the bible never explicitly states that the serpent is satan or any other demon.
As it should. That is something the church endorses though.
In your opinion, were they in spite of the Bible, or with respect to the Bible? The Crusades, inquisitions, etc., would have never occurred if it weren't for the bible.
To who's satisfaction? yours or ours?
Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Revelation 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
As it should.
Are you kidding me?Apparently. I find it interesting that the devil seems to have almost free reign on earth.
