Hello everyone! I'm not truly sure where to post this, so to the junk drawer we go!

A few months ago our youth group went on our youth trip, and we really drew close to God. It was an incredible experience and on the 3rd or 4th day my friend had a dream that went like this.

First everyone in our youth group was given a key. We weren't sure what they were for, but we did know it was important so we kept them. Then a group of people came to us and took our keys, and started teasing us, making fun of us, and finally casting the keys into sone murky water. Then my friend went to retrieve the keys, but only a few of them came back.

The true meaning of the dream was shown the next day when (also I'd like to say in advance that we didn't talk to this lady that was on the trip about the dream.) one of the Chaperones gave each one of us a key to use as a reminder that we have the key to unlock the holy spirit inside of us.

So Im not hear to ask for an interpretation, as the message is quite obvious. In the past 2 months the dream has slowly come to pass in the group, and I'm asking for guidance to keep this from coming to fruition.

This is purely for entertainment. I have a standard joke that if anyone tells me their dream, I elaborately retell their dream to them and tell them that that dream means they are secretly gay. Hey, I know that it is stupid but, consider the source.

Once, after begging her to tell me her dream, (remember, it is all pre-conceived) it backfired when a most beautiful female and dearest friend said, "I dreamed I was wrapped in a rainbow". I couldn't stop laughing!

Wow, what a nice experience. I agree the message is clear. I think the important thing to do is to tell everyone in the group about the dream (if you didn't already, or your friend who had the dream) so that everyone is forewarned. Other than that pray for everyone in the group that they don't lose their keys in the murky water. Maybe prayer can change the outcome of the dream, if it is God's will. I am going to pray for the group now!

I've had a few dreams like this that I think had spiritual significance over the years. The purpose each time was to show me how I was to respond when something happened. (I'm not saying that always the case for everyone; just in my case.)

If (and I emphasize the if) this is similar to what I've seen, I'd say the biggest thing is that for you and your friend not to become discouraged over the keys you cannot find. It doesn't mean you stop trying, but it does mean that it is not failure on your part if there are some keys you cannot reach. Prayerfully discern who those recovered keys might be that you can minister to. There are those you can encourage. This seems to me to perhaps be a call to minister to people who have been hit with the pressures of the world. There are a few you will be in a good position to help out.

Note that no one is ever a key lost to God's sight. There are people we see that might be lost to murky waters that we cannot see or help, but God still sees where they are at.

I prefer for this not to happen because every single one lf the people on that trip are important to me. These aren't just people that I see every week. These are brothers and sisters in Christ that I deeply care for, and that I interact with weekly. It is a truly horrid feeling to watch this dream come to pass. In my worldly view it just doesn't seem like God's way to work (which is wrong I know, but please allow for a brother to have emotions just once please?) So I'd love for this to just pass over us ya know?

I see what you mean. I am sure it is also hard for God as well.

A week or two ago, I had a vision about someone who I dine with was possessed by an extremely powerful dark spirit. The spirit even manifested itself within my vision. Turns out this person was my best friend. Didn't know that he was doing Catholic stuff until I start hinting at him about Scripture.

Pray for these people, from how I read your dream. It says, everyone was given a key, a gift. Quickly the enemy stolen it, those who maintain their faith got their keys, while the others are quickly lost to the murky water. Perhaps their sins or false sense of faith.

But not everything is lost, we are living in the most dangerous time and deception is at an all time high. Since you don't see them every week might be a sign in itself. Deliberately contact them and see what they say.

I believe God reveals things to us in dreams to encourage us and guide us. He reveals the plans of the enemy so that we can pray against it. I believe that God wants you both to know that your prayers can and will make a difference.
