This evening I happened to think of a couple free tools that you can use to help keep your notes safe, all in one place:

TreeDBNotes - lots of features even in the free version... import/export from and to many different formats, images in your documents...

TreePad or TreePad Asia (think this is the one you want for text only notes with right to left text formatting)
