I'm a bit of a pudding person myself and once created a twist on a favourite English speciality.
The westcountry where I grew up is well known for its tearooms offering cream teas (plain scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam). I made a dessert which I called the "ice cream tea" with warm plain scones and substituting the cream with vanilla clotted ice cream and the jam with fresh strawberries.
