Hello,
sometime ago, i was praying about finding a church to attend. I was driving in my car on a clear sunny day and looked up and i saw 3 very large crosses formed out of clouds in the sky standing next to each other, with the middle one slightly higher/raised up than the other 2 beside it. The cross on the left had what seemed like flames of cloud coming out from the cross. Now i'm not one for looking for signs etc. but i have wondered since what this could have meant, if any thing at all? and by the way, i still haven't decided on a permanent church to attend.
Any ideas? thankyou
Christ was crucified on the centre cross. One of the criminals on the crosses beside Him reconized Jesus as the sinless man who would come again as King. Jesus told that man that he would be with Him in paradise. The other man suffered a fate worse than death. The man that was not saved is what the 'flames of cloud coming out from the cross' was.
If you were praying about which church to attend and you were shown three crosses only, then you were shown that there is no 'right' church to attend. Church is not a building or even a denomination. Church is the body of believers in Christ; whenever they gather togather(to worship, hang out, talk about God, anything), that is church. Coming to CF and talking about this stuff is church!
If you're looking for a church 'home', make sure that you find a church that professes Jesus as the risen Lord; as God of the universe, incarnate as man; who died for the sins of all.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures
