You can think what you want. I do believe there was an outrage seen throughout the world but you go right ahead and think what you want. Not any significant or important number of them.
Yes there was lots of non Christians that didn't appreciate it either. This will be the last time we talk. There wasn’t really, though.
Believe it or not....some people find those words offensive...don't ask me why.I see no reason to censor words like "transgender", "drag" or "naked".
It's such shame since France produced so many Saints in the Catholic Church and has beautiful Cathedrals such as Notre Dame and Chates Cathedral which I visited personally. The Sainte-Chapelle chapel is incredibly gorgeous and remains, in my memory, as being the most gorgeous building I've ever visited. Such a beautiful country with a beautiful culture.I don't think it is sad at all. The French are not sad about it. I have spent a good bit of time in France and have French friends. I think Catholicism has become something of an irrelevance to them.
Church buildings are often neglected with their little congregations struggling to keep them maintained. Even their great cathedrals suffer in this way. I don't quite see how the 50% Christian figure was calculated. It might be the figure the Catholic Church puts out - a wildly optimistic figure in my view.
Imagine if they attacked Muslims or Homosexuals! Why the attack on Christianity ?
I reckon we are getting closer to the end times & these Satanic cults are becoming desperate to drag our souls away from God.
This is a video about Paris Olympics Mocks Christianity With Demonic Opening Ceremony.
It all stinks
The same could be said concerning any outrage at all over most things, like Trump overstating the value of his apartment or Vance saying something about people who don't have children holding office. What does outrage about 5 minutes of a theatrical performance in poor taste accomplish?
Something tells me when this life is over, we aren't going to be judged by how outraged we were at the Olympics.
If the participants of the Olympic Games want to mingle and trade cultural and religious traditions that most of the probably practice, that’s great!True, and honestly, the real Last Supper would not have been in a fancy building as depicted in Da Vinci's art. But yes, my tongue was firmly in my cheek, but it is true. Let people be free to bring religious symbols into the games. I am for freedom of religion. In fact, let the Muslim athletes wear hijabs, if they so choose to wear one. Thought that France is supposed to be a free country.
Quote from The Guardian: "In June, a coalition of groups including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International wrote to the International Olympic Committee condemning the ban and urging IOC intervention. 'The bans imposed by the French sports authorities are discriminatory and prevent Muslim athletes who decide to wear the hijab from exercising their human right to play sport without discrimination of any kind,” the letter said. “The bans also fly in the face of the human rights requirements for host countries and the IOC Strategic Framework on Human Rights, as well as being antithetical to the fundamental principles of Olympism.'"

It's 2024. For just about anything, you'll find someone who finds it offensive. If you're going to self-censor for "some people", might as well not say anything at all.Believe it or not....some people find those words offensive...don't ask me why.
Must be sobering for conservative Christians to realize their views put them squarely in the minority on social issues, unlike the views of people mentioned above.Imagine if they attacked Muslims or Homosexuals!
How would the left react!
There would be a HUGE outcry and boycott.
Why is that! If someone made a statue of you could then your Christianity be judged by the statue you had nothing to do with? So now are we to conclude that all of the radicals who are tearing down and defacing historical statues are really crusaders for Christ in disguise? Your above statement is not supported by scripture. But even still, pretty anti-Christian for a statue like this to exist.
Pretty sure “God will make Christians authoritarian rulers of earth” is in my Bible.Nothing personal about it, or religious. It is bible 101
Thanks for the permission. You can think what you want. I do believe there was an outrage seen throughout the world but you go right ahead and think what you want.
Again, you just want to be mad. Be mad. But it doesn’t change the fact that the tableau was inspired by something having zero to do with TLS, which is not a religious item or relevant to Christian practice, and this whole “worldwide outrage by even non-Christians” was something a few people who clearly don’t know their art history were mad about for a brief moment. You make it sound like people took to the streets and burned Olympic flags, but that didn’t happen.Yes there was lots of non Christians that didn't appreciate it either.
Oh no.This will be the last time we talk.
So do you conclude the majority is always right?Must be sobering for conservative Christians to realize their views put them squarely in the minority on social issues, unlike the views of people mentioned above.
So then keep the woke drag stuff out of sight. It has become a cult.If the participants of the Olympic Games want to mingle and trade cultural and religious traditions that most of the probably practice, that’s great!
But keep it out of sight, not that it’s “shameful”, but taking pride in believing in the “correct” religion to the point where one needs to work it into everyday conversation, or, in this case, a Medals ceremony, could look kinda “pushy” to people who believe in the “incorrect” religions, and be seen as needlessly agitating.
Well, I am not a fan of Trump or the left either (I'm a centrist, one of a rare type of people). But, we can both agree that this was the worst Olympics in the history of the games. Why is that! If someone made a statue of you could then your Christianity be judged by the statue you had nothing to do with? So now are we to conclude that all of the radicals who are tearing down and defacing historical statues are really crusaders for Christ in disguise? Your above statement is not supported by scripture.
If it is 2024 now, imagine what 2034 would be. People are gonna identify as objects or animals by then. Or, people will become transracialIt's 2024. For just about anything, you'll find someone who finds it offensive. If you're going to self-censor for "some people", might as well not say anything at all.
Youre being silly. Trans people have been among us forever in every culture. Some cultures recognized it. Others rejected them. Nothing new here.If it is 2024 now, imagine what 2034 would be. People are gonna identify as objects or animals by then. Or, people will become transracial
Some people are gonna say, "I identify as a genderqueer tire" or "I identify as a nonbinary veteran", or a Korean man turns himself into a black man in the 2030s.
Yeah, but it has gotten worse over the past 5 years. That stuff belongs in the privacy of one's own home.Youre being silly. Trans people have been among us forever in every culture. Some cultures recognized it. Others rejected them. Nothing new here.
