Soooo I started thinking about the awards last weekend and thought I'd atleast make a discussion thread with a poll as well to test the waters and see what everyone else thinks.
For anyone new to this here is how it works in a nutshell:
Once majority agrees to have the awards, we look at categories from the past times and we also suggest new categories (for example: Most Charming, Best Avatar, Most Compassionate, etc) after we pick the categories it's usually between 20-40 categories. I then PM all the regulars of Singles, give them the list of categories, they send me back the categories with who they think best fits each one and that's considered voting. Also in this thread we pick a date for the Awards to happen and a time that best fits everyone. I've found that 10pm eastern works the best but that's of course to be decided.
I then tally the votes up, there will be a 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place winner. The first place winner will receive an award.
That's basically it. On the night of the ceremony I make a separate thread, the ceremony happens there, I announce the winners, hand out awards, and you all get to mingle and get out your thank you speeches.
