  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

haha.. that is pretty awesome. Good show everyone!

Man.. that would make putting that wetsuit on, SO much harder.. having to deal with all that back end. Yikes. Not to mention the lack of grip on the board with the hooves

In my neverending quest to annoy you all with pictures of me, and in honor of my departure to camp tomorrow.. here are some pictures from camp throughout the years.

1995: camper

That's definitely me as a 10 year old receiving an award for participating in solo night at music camp.

1998: camper

That's me in the Hanson shirt. don't judge.

1999: camper.

That's me in the front, in the awful jeans. I think this was still in my "I wish I was a boy" stage.

2001: camper

Autum, me, Samantha and Crystal at a banquet. I look so dressed up, right? That was like 30 minutes after my first kiss, ever.

2002: just a baby...

At camp we have a game called "Egg me baby" where you are in pairs and you say to your partner "Egg me baby!" and they hit an egg on your head. it may or may not be hard boiled. This time, my friend Nigel egged me and it was not hard boiled. That's me just standing in the middle.



2003: forgot to apply but they took me anyway

2008: COUNSELOR

That was my cabin last year, Grand 2 (upstairs)

We went canoeing.


It was nerd night at campfire.. I decided to be a bit abstract and go as a Hanson fan.


This camper sat in front of me at campfire on nerd night, and I COULD NOT stop laughing at his sign.


Jim Ross.. this dude is a legend. He's a ranger at Mt. Rainier National Park.. and every week he comes and tells the story of the first climb of Rainier. He speaks in a monotone. He's been doing this for the past SEVEN years. You can figure out how many times a lot of us have heard it. He's awesome.


My friend Bee came for music camp.. I was trying to avoid doing any real work by helping him, but he never wants my help.. ever.


Oh you know.. pirate night. Pirate night in music camp is rad because we do it by the pool. I got my cabin those neat pirate hats, I was excited.


Me and one of my best buds, Jennetnicole. She likes me, I promise. She just is weird sometimes.


My friend Beth. I made that shirt, in 2005, when we were counselors together. Don't you love that cat?


See how Jennetnicole looks fairly happy? See how it was raining, and we are on the dock? We had the worst cabins EVER, and we were able to force them to go canoeing in the rain. They weren't very happy about it, but we got time away from them and they had to suffer. That's terrible, but we were so happy.


These two girls gave me the hardest time EVER. Words cannot even express how difficult that week was. I cried when they left, because I didn't think I'd done a good job at showing them Christ. At that moment, I knew I was never going to be a counselor again


Oh you know, just the worst cabin I had all summer.


Me and Amina at the staff banquet. She was a camper in the first cabin I ever counseled.. and she worked at camp last year and is working again this summer. Pretty cool.


Me and my friend Craig. He isn't working at camp this summer but at the end of the summer he's moving to camp to do an internship, and I am SO EXCITED.
