I don't know offhand what our immunity rate is, but I'm glad to see that our case rate has started to decline rapidly (after going up just as rapidly). Omicron does seem likely to cause a very intense but short spike in cases.

Too early to tell in Australia. Most Australian states reopened their borders in November sometime, and the cases have gone through the roof.

However most states made the decision to hold off on the border re-openings till their population had 80% double vaccination.

Western Australia is aiming for 90% double vaccination before they re-open, which won't be long as they're up to 88.4% now, although those remaining would comprise a fair number of hardline anti-vaxxers so the final uptake will be slow.

There's a NY Times article here. Early in the article there's a graph which shows the trend for cases as a red line, and it tells its own story.

Australia Coronavirus Map and Case Count

For Australia, it's too early to tell how "immune" we are.
