2 John message to us

Hi all ,
This was written to the Lady and I was wondering first of all what does it mean to walk ?

many times it says walk in Truth or Walk in the Spirit , take up your bed and walk ?

what John meant when he said confess not that Jesus has come in the Flesh ?

does he mean they say Jesus was not human ?

or is John saying Jesus has come in our flesh ?
the Lord said He would pour out His Spirit on all flesh ?

Because when I read this a little further it says with this teaching /doctrine

we have both the Father and the Son ?


what does anyone have on this , thanks peace .. C

3Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father,

and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

4I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received

a commandment from the Father.
5And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee,

but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
6And this is love, that we walk after his commandments.

This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
7For many deceivers are entered into the world,

who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

8Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought,

but that we receive a full reward.
9Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ,

hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house,

neither bid him God speed:

11For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

In the Bible we are told to walk a lot. It basically means to follow or abide in something. We walk in the truth by taking care to know and apply the truth of God's word to our lives and forsake false teaching. We walk in the Spirit by letting the Holy Spirirt be or guide.




2 John 1:7 (English Standard Version)

7For(A) many deceivers(B) have gone out into the world,(C) those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist.

This is not telling us not to confess that Jesus came in the flesh, it is telling us that deceivers will come who do not confess this and that anyone who does not confess that Jesus came in the fleash as a deciever and antichrist. It is a dire warning against a false teaching.



No, John teaches Jesus was human



Again no, Jesus came in the flesh as a man



This is the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on believers and not the coming of Jesus in the flesh.


Those who have been saved have been made children of God by the blood of Christ. We therefore have both the Father and the Son.

I believe it is how we conduct ourselves , God knows I want to walk better , I do fail /stumble at times , and hate that ..:o

I believe the Word of God if we dont love the truth we will be deceived
and great answer about being born again children of God by the Blood of Jesus God bless you in His peace ... . C
