I have just been forwarded this email by an american... maybe I have no right to post it not being from there myself, but I think we in europe can be equally angry towards Bin Laden and his crew.. so...

by the way mods Im going to post the whole thing because otherwise you might not understand the point of the email... but it gets a little crude at the bottom, so let me know if I need to erase the poem,  hope I dont offend anyone!

<DIV>nearly a year has gone by since the sept 11th tragedy... and still some people are harboring feelings of hatred, fear, discrimination and violence... the same hatred, fear, discrimination and violence that gave birth to the events we all wish had never taken place... this kind of "hate mail" is everything that is NOT christian... everything that the Spotless Lamb came to tell us shouldn't be in our hearts... He died for us while we were sinners and while we are still sinners... can we profess to know Christ or be christians while feeding the same sin &amp; hatred that had our Lord crucified... let us never forget that WE crucified Christ... that these sins are the reason why He died in the first place...</DIV>

<DIV>no matter what we think, JESUS Himself desires the conversion of everyone... the Father wills for the conversion of even the "worst of the worst" in our eyes... is our hatred stronger than our love?&nbsp; is our desire to exact HUMAN justice (not to mention revenge) stronger than our desire to see everyone saved?&nbsp; Let's not forget that the Herald of the Gospel that is Paul is a murderer and persecuter of the Church... he's another Ben Ladin!&nbsp; and yet because christians patiently prayed and waited, because christians didn't "go to arms", Paul came to salvation and became the cause for the conversion of thousands upon thousands... i think it's a good thing no-one made his death their reason for living like is said in these pages... if he had been stoned according to "human justice" because he was himself a murderer, then we simply wouldn't have his letters to encourage and teach us... and the Lord's Work wouldn't have been done in his life... or ours in many ways because of it... things to think about... God works in mysterious ways and can make good come out of the greatest evils... after all He gives us eternal life because of the death of His Son... can there be a greater evil?&nbsp; when peter objected to JESUS being murdered, the Lord said:&nbsp; "away satan, for your thoughts are those of men not of God..."&nbsp; </DIV>

<DIV>i urge us all to be apostles of peace, love and forgiveness... otherwise, we will only spawn a vicious circle of hatred and violence that will only doom us all and cloud our dignity as human beings and our dignity as christians.

<DIV>whenever i see things like this, i cannot help but feel we are total failures as christians.&nbsp; There is no truth in condemning, there is no love in hatred, there is no christian faith in revenge or discrimination.&nbsp; "We'd rather you die than come to court... you're just a punk with a turban... YOUR DEATH HAS BECOME OUR NEXT ENDEAVOUR... You'll feel the wrath of the red, white and blue...&nbsp; AMERICA IS COMING TO KICK YOUR [wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth]..."&nbsp; This kind of misguided patriotism is a shame to all united states people who call themselves christians... Perhaps a meditation on Luke 6:27-36 is in order... i feel sorry for all the "supposed" christians who take on this kind of attitude, a lot sorrier than i do for Ben Laden and his misguided crew... because at least they don't have the pretentious attitude of saying they are christian... and when they kill, they do so in the name of an idol... while some others actually kill in a spirit of revenge crying out "In God we trust..."</DIV>
