While on earth Jesus healed the sick, raised the dead, caused the blind to see and cast out Devils.
As he performed all these acts he preached the message of Salvation and that He and He alone was the way to the Father and the He was the Son of God and could forgive our sins.
Many chose to follow Christ. Many chose to deny Him. Many chose to deny Him because they were threatened with being disowned by their family,friends and church. They were threatened to be killed as so many had been who had chosen to follow Christ.
In this light, we understand that when Jesus told people, I can heal you if you Believe, He was referring to them believing He is the Christ.
The woman with the issue of blood.....
She had spent all her life's savings trying to be healed and could not be healed. In one last desperate act she had made the decision that to deny Christ would surely mean certain death. It no longer mattered what her family , friends, or even church thought, and not even the danger of being killed would prevent her from pressing through the crowd and touching the hem of Jesus garment for it certain that she would die if she did not reach Him. She believed on Jesus and because of this virtue flowed from Him and healed her.
We,who have chosen to believe,have the right to be healed because we have believed on the only Begotten Son of God, Christ Jesus.
Jesus SAYS to you....
"I can if you believe."
