I just had to post, while the thought is rolling
I really can't believe it (but I can)
oh the irony...
I see the article of the new day, and I suppose the new joke that is going to go around for the next couple days is about, "Sarah Palin said it was "Gods plan" for her to become the VP pick"...
I know just how they are going to spin that- that she's some kind of kooky Christian extremist...oh brother (rolling my eyes up).
Then again, we all know who are the ones who are going to feed off that, the Palin haters, many of which are atheistic, anti-religious or anti Bible believing Christian.
They just don't get it, do they? The haters will keep hating no matter what- hate her for her uncompromising, sincere, down-to-earth (un-elitist) Bible based belief system (prolife, pro-family, traditional)...plus what makes it all fierce is the jealousy they have for her- that it's actually working for her, like she actually believes that stuff from the Bible & she's attractive & a "success" (no, how could that be?).
So they're gonna post that quote to mock her again, as if it's gonna make a difference (the haters will keep hatin, no matter what she says). Uh but it only encourages the rest of us Christians, it just confirms our support and reminds us of who we all are.
Bible believing (which would be the true) Christians (of whatever denomination) fully understand accept and believe that kind of statement "It was God's plan". If we didn't, somethings seriously wrong. Even Rick Warren believes it (Purpose Driven Life- bestseller), wow I think even Joel Osteen believes it. The God believing founding fathers of this country, wrote about how they believed God had a special plan/ special involvement in the forming of the USA....Christians getting married, having kids, ministry & major career decisions..we would all say in other words, "Part of God's plan". We may even take that statement for granted, because it's so common in our thinking and language.
Maybe there are some who think that they believe in that kind of statement, but they would never say it or admit it outloud (thereby revealing that they don't truely believe it. The Bible says, "2 Corinth. 4:13We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak" ).
And these leftist idealogs are trying to make it out like she said she recieved messages from aliens from Mars... Hey probably to them it would be more reasonable & acceptable if Oprah or whoever were to say they believe it's "Karma" or they got direction for their life from some past life regression session ( or hey how about maybe through channeling?).
Ha ha ha- there's a God? And he has a plan for peoples lives? Like really, would a "god" actually care about who would become Pres. & VP?
Like if there was a god, he would only care about carbon emissions & how many trees are being cut down... why would he care about who made decisions affecting 250 million people +???
So some are going to be doing their mocking bit, but there will be a good percentage thinking (if not saying) Right on! So true! God has a plan for all of us whether or not we ever become famous and certainly for those who's lives affect others in a big way.
Oh the great divide is getting greater and greater as the days go on. The Bible says, "Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision"...and "choose this day who you will serve"...
To some, believing there's a God who has a plan for people's lives- to them it's a joke. To others, millions of others... it's something common, real, & serious.
John 15:
18"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. 20Remember the words I spoke to you: 'No servant is greater than his master.'[b] If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. 21They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the One who sent me.
1 John 4:
5They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit[a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
