Life is full of hints from God showing us how fragile and powerless the modern institutions of mankind truly are, for instance when they can be brought to their knees even by simple snowfall. Thank you Lord for the reminders of how unprepared we really are for reality, especially in today's world of dependence on the ingenuity of man. Heaven help the human powers and principalities who rule over mankind if the man made electric power ever went out for an extended period of time, even if only a month.
God has given us repetitious and unfailing reminders (such as snow, blackouts, flu) of our weaknesses yet it seems to me that mankind builds it's world on it's own inventions (such as electrical dependence) that not only can be an everyday blessing, but disastrous when life is built upon their unreliable foundations.
