You may recall Jesus said His Kingdom was not of this world. Creating a kingdom here using God as an excuse is not the same as paving the way for the Kingdom to come, a Kingdom that operates on principles opposite to the will and ways of man. What was created 1700 years ago was an alliance with a world that opposed the Kingdom and does to this day. That was by no means the fulfillment of 'Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth as it is in Heaven'. It was just the opposite as it accepted the 'all this can be yours deal' rejected by Jesus.

James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
