The Lord will send His messengers to the churches to preach the Word of God to them in TRUTH and in sincerity. They will not preach themselves as many do but shall preach Jesus only who opens up the Scriptures to our understanding so that we may depart from those who are living in error…envying and strife.. Some will receive that Word….receiving it not as the word of religious-sounding men but as it is in TRUTH.
1 Thessalonians 2:
(13) For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
Others will not receive the love of the Truth but will instead persecute those who will receive it and those who preach it. We shall suffer like things as the early church did who were persecuted by their very own people for believing. We shall suffer like things of our own “countrymen”…from those who we once fellowshipped with in the ignorance of the Truth.
(14) For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:
Like the past, they will “kill” us for believing in our Lord Jesus with their evil words and false accusations. We shall suffer for His sake by not rendering evil for their evil as they will persecute us in their bad behavior and shall not please God with their evil works and will be contrary to all men.
(15) Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:
They …. “Diotrephes”…the man of sin….those who love the preeminence among men….will forbid those who will preach the Word of Truth from speaking to their congregations. They will forbid any to receive the brothers who will preach nor their words…which are His words. They will exercise their authority over their congregations….sitting in the temple as God.
They will fill up the measure of their fathers who also behaved in such manner throughout the Scriptures…filling up what they had started. They will be the “man of sin”…for they shall be of one mind in their bad behavior and taking pleasure in those who will behave likewise. They shall continue a short time so that their sins reach the uttermost point…reaching to heaven…and will go into perdition for the wrath shall come upon them to the uttermost. Our faith shall be tested in the process by the “fire” of their temptations…persecutions.
(16) Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
The words of the saints have not been preached to us in their spiritual interpretation as Satan and his messengers have wrested Paul’s letters and the rest of the Scriptures. They would have come to us…but Satan has hindered them by the flattering tongues of men who only serve their own belly and not our Lord Jesus Christ and lead many astray from having love for one another.
(17) But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face with great desire.
(18) Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.
They….the biblical saints…could not “speak” unto us as unto spiritual but as carnal…for many are living in divisions…envying and strife which is brought on by the covetousness of men hidden in their hearts….the abomination of desolation.
1 Corinthians 3:
(1) And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
(2) I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
(3) For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
But we shall now hear their words in the preaching of our Lord and Savior who sends the “brethren” out to preach His voice. But MANY will behave badly toward the hearing of His voice and will refuse to listen and will prevent others from doing so. They will believe in a lie….that they are doing God service for persecuting us… “killing” us with their evil words and false accusations.
“Diotrephes”…the man of sin….shall put you out of their churches for receiving the Truth. The time will come that whosoever will “kill” you will think that he is doing God “service” for his many “wonderful works”. They will believe a lie. We can not use the same mouth to bless God and curse men who are made into His image. We are not blessing God by doing these kind of evil things. They will believe a lie.
John 16
(1) These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.
(2) They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
They will do these things unto us because they have not known the Father nor the Lord Jesus Christ. All those who will do unrighteous works are not of God.
(3) And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
(4) But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.
Not every one who says “Lord, Lord” shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. Only those who will do the will of the Father shall.
Matthew 7:21-23 KJV
(21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
For the MANY shall try to justify their evil works against those who will preach the Word of Truth and against those who will receive it. They will revile us and cast us out of their assemblies. All the while, they will believe in a lie….that they will be doing these things in His authority. WE are the “devils”…as they will call us…that they will be casting out supposedly in His name. They will believe in a lie….that in His name they will be doing “wonderful works” while they fight against us in their evil ways.
(22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
(23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
When they shall cast us out….God is being merciful to us as He showed mercy to Lot who LINGERED in the presence of the evil men of Sodom. We are to COME OUT from among them so as not to share in their sins and plagues. But as Lot lingered…there will be some who will LINGER in their “churches” being tormented by the “filthy conversation of the wicked”. Some shall LINGER in their assemblies…DWELLING AMONG THEM.
2 Peter 2:7-12 KJV
(7) And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
(8) (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds
But the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished for their evil deeds. The unjust….the unrighteous among the churches…shall believe in a lie that they will be doing God service for doing such things.
(9) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
(10) But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
The “angels”….the messengers of God…hastened Lot by saying for them to leave or be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
Genesis 19:15-16 KJV
(15) And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
But while he “lingered”, the “men” laid hold upon their hands and brought them forth and set them without the city. God was merciful unto him.
(16) And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
God is showing His mercy when they shall put you…the true believer… out of their churches…their “synagogues”…their assemblies. The men shall put you out of their “city” so that you will not be consumed in their iniquities.
John 16:2 KJV
(2) They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
But blessed are you when they shall separate you from their company. Blessed are you when they shall put out of their assemblies.
Blessed are you when they shall hate you and shall reproach you and cast out your name as evil for the Son of man’s sake.
Luke 6:22-23 KJV
(22) Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
Blessed are you when they shall persecute you for righteousness’ sake and when they shall say all manner of evil against you falsely for His sake.
Matthew 5:10-13 KJV
(10) Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
(11) Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
REJOICE and be EXCEEDINGLY GLAD for great is your reward in heaven for so their fathers also persecuted the prophets which were before you.
We are NOT to return evil for their evil when we leave them. Remember Lot’s wife. We are to have PEACE even to our enemies….our own “countrymen” who will persecute us for acknowledging the authority of our Lord Jesus over our own thoughts and ways and the church fathers’ thoughts and ways.
(13) Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
When we suffer as a follower of Christ…..going without the camp to Him, let us not be ashamed but let us glorify God by us not rendering evil for their evil.
1 Peter 4:16-19 KJV
(16) Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
The “fiery trial” of our faith is the judgment that must begin at the house of God. We must obey the gospel of God and have love even to our enemies. What shall be the end of them who will persecute us…not obeying the gospel of God.
(17) For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
(18) And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
We are to suffer according to the will of God and are to commit the keeping of our souls to Him in WELL DOING.
(19) Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
But our “countrymen” who we will leave behind shall believe in a lie….that they will be doing “wonderful works” in His name as they will persecute us for the Word of Truth. They will think that they are doing God “service” by killing us with their persecutions. They will be casting us out as the “devils” .
2 Thessalonians 2:11-14 KJV
(11) And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
(12) That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
(13) But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
(14) Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
They shall eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. They will bless God and yet with the same mouth curse men…thinking that they are wise and doing it in His name. They will believe a lie: “Ye shall not die” = “dying (KILLING), you shall not die”. They shall think that they shall have “peace and safety” to “kill” others with their mouths.
Young's Literal Translation
Genesis 3:4 And the serpent saith unto the woman, 'Dying, ye do not die,
Genesis 3:4-5 KJV
(4) And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
They think that they will be doing God service…. “for God does know that in the day you eat thereof…”
(5) For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
They shall see themselves as “gods”… “elohim”…that is, JUDGES…as they will speak evil of men who will receive the Word of Truth. They shall show themselves as judges…being above the law by NOT having love for another.
James 4:10-12 KJV
(10) Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
(11) Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
(12) There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
