Well, Lent didn't get off to a very lentenish start: Spent the morning watching my granddaughter's volleyball tournament--but i excused the lapse because i only get to see her and my son/wife about 2 times a year, so i'm sure God won't mind.
In the afternoon we went to see "My Name Is Khan" which i felt/feel was/is an appropriate lenten afternoon spender given its themes of forgiveness, inter-religious understanding and compassion, and Love itself. It was a beautiful movie and i would rate it as among the best i've ever seen, especially among spiritually-focused films.
Slightly hungry, but no big deal really.
Am reading a really good book on the Holy Spirit and how He has been ignored and neglected by most Christians--which account for the loss of Spiritual Power in the Church today.
i plan to read a few chapters of Scripture--currently in John--before sleep attacks. Hopefully tomorrow will be more Lenten--i love the feeling a purpose and focus which Lent usually brings!
