Serving God Through Serving Others
Colossians 3:23-24 tells us to do everything as if we are serving the God, because we are. Sometimes this is, as they say, easier said then done. People will ask us things from us that we really don’t want to do. Sometimes we do them because we know it’s the right thing to do, and sometimes we do these things just to keep peace. Either way, we do them and our heart is cold and bitter the entire time. In this manner, we commit a grave sin (Psalms 37:8-9). So, when someone asks you to do something, and it doesn’t go against God’s word, then hold on to the fact that you will bring honor and glory to God by doing it with a cheerful heart.
This is an area the Holy Spirit has been convicting in me. Like Paul, I have “a thorn in my flesh” (2 Corinthians 12:7-10), and to do things above and beyond the call of duty can be frustrating, if I let it. However,
