Hi everyone. I am back again after being banned because I ruffled someone's feathers. Someone didn't like me calling a spade a spade. Nothing I can do about that because I am autistic and one thing we are noted for is calling a spade a spade. Generally speaking, we have brilliant minds but there is part of our brain that does not function so that part of life is closed off to us, so we tend not to be "diplomatic."
Anyway, the subject of this blog is ruffling feathers. As we all know if we are not blind to the obvious, the forces of evil have made a ministry out of being offended if their feathers are ruffled.
If you say something that they don't like you are called a bigot or intolerant or a homophobe and are accused of hate speech. The fact that you may have said something that is the truth is irrelevant.
Sad to say, this has crept into the church and Christianity on the internet. Most forums will ban you if you say something that they do not like.....even if it is the truth.
I have pointed out that the scripture is very clear. If someone offends you, then you are to forgive 490 times. In most forums, get to three and you are banned. One so-called Christian Forum which blathers on about being biblical bans you after your first transgression. I pointed out to them the 490 bit and their response was...zero.
The funny thing is in most cases atheists are allowed to come on the same forums and spew their lies and attack Christians willy nilly and nothing is done about it.
When the Bible ceases to be relevant to a Christian community's conduct, we are in trouble. For me, the Bible is a handbook to teach us how to walk the walk of faith. If we dispense with its teaching we are left without a guide.
When you are banned from a forum after the first transgression, then you know that the so-called claim to be biblical is not the truth. But as they say, why ruin a good story by telling the truth.
Why am I saying all this?
One, it is clear we are not good at avoiding being deceived. If the Bible says 490 that is what it means and no amount of sanctimonious claptrap is going to hide the fact.
Two. It shows how much we have abandoned biblical truth in favour of secular thinking.
Three. It is clear that when the scripture says that judgment must begin at the house of God, we ignore it at our peril.
