With repentance, we begin to see life as being about each other rather than focusing on self. Yes we are of the same nature as our fellow worldly predators, everything in existence being food for everything else, but man for some reason beyond a natural survival instinct hunts each other, having through self determination lost sight of the will of God. Those who pursue self satisfaction among our own also become victims of others doing the same.
