Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's

The Bible tells us in several places how we are to give to the church. But there are certain ways to do that.
"Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in a week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for everyone that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted" (Lk. 18:9-14).
“ But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth” Matthew 6:3
Be careful not to do your "acts of righteousness" before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven (Matthew 6:1).
So then why is it that we use our checkbooks with our names on them. A friend of mines church is doing “a walk of faith” walkway to the new church, you can purchase three lines for $100.00 or 6 lines for $400.00. You get to put a phrase of faith on it. Now I’m not sure if the person giving the money goes on the brick too but the name goes on the order form so someone other than that person knows what they gave.
Most people give their tithe via a check and on the check is their name and address now I understand that they do it for tax purposes but isn’t that in a sense double dipping? I mean you use a check so that you can claim your “tithe” on your taxes and a charitable donation and use it for less tax. And you give it because God say’s we have to give out of the abundance of our hearts, and to be cheerful when you do.
My honest feeling is when you give your tithe do it with cash in a unmarked envelope, that way no one knows what you are giving but you. If you need to keep track of what you’re giving keep a log book that way you have something in writing. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? 21They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
