Today really is a day of reflection for conservatives.
I have some thoughts- not sure if I have time to write about all that now.
I will say though, my spouse gave me a backhanded compliment- talking about this one Christian Conservative talk host saying saying she "bothers him" irrates etc.
The same he said of Sarah Palin and some others. He says they are "fighters" and he puts me in that camp.
I suppose it's irratating because their are some that hate, fear and avoid confrontation. Some who are more compliant and like to "play the game" and who don't like to buck the system. Also there are some who think many things are "too much trouble" and don't like to expend extra effort & energy.
This is rising now for Christians & conservatives, especially those who have this "fighter" calling.
The Lord led me to some scripture yesterday, that are like a word for God's people in this season:
1Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;
2A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
7They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:
8Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.
9They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.
10The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:
11And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?
27And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
28And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
30And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come.
32And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
..pretty much all of Joel chapter 2 applies...
A song comes to mind taken from these verses- "They rush on the city they run on the wall, great is the army that carries out his word!"
Also:
Daniel 12:3
3 Those who are wise [a] will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.
(a) Daniel 12:3 Or who impart wisdom
Well, many of us, though disappointed, sad are still charged up- that we are not on retreat but advance. Though many opportunites have now been closed through the voting process- all avenues are not closed and must be continued!
We still can make gains, hold, and stand through prayer, personal witness, and ministry. Individually we must go forward, and continue to grow and go from as the Bible says- go from "glory to glory".
So as part of a larger group, this is the sentiment (or the attitude I believe God wants us to take, the posture).
And for those who are fighters, we must carry the torch especialy in the face of the temptation to fear, to be deflated, to call time out. I pray for and believe Sarah Plain & even Jon McCain will quickly pull themselves together and find something else-another injustice that needs to be confronted, another something that needs to be held accountable and stood up to.
Personally I have a renewed strength, energy, vision. I feel this has given me a kick in the backside to help get me going on some things.
Some clarity has come to me. We aren't moving this season. This is pretty set now.
I really am motivated to move on a handful of things.
One thing being since I believe this is absolutely not an hour to be silent on things that need to be voiced. i think it baest to use this same CF account to get back into speaking out on such things. Therefore, I deem it necisissary to remove a bunch of thing here, because nothing forms enemies more (whether online or in real life) than speaking truth and standing up for rightousness. (Just look at what happened with Sarah Plain, Dr. James Dobson, Pat Robertson, Rev. Jerry Fallwell, the prophets of old etc..)

11"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
I'm going to move some of my stuff, as for personal- not sure where yet.
