Random acts of kindness

Have you ever done this? it is so much fun. I post this, not to boast, which is why names locations etc are not here, but to open your mind dear reader to possible ways to "entertain angels unawares" and to God givien opportunities to put love into action.
once, just as i had filled up my cars tank with petrol, i noticed a mother of 4 struggling with the kids in the back seat. she looked overwhelmed. one of the kids asked her to get a cool drink or ice cream or something, and I heard her say no i am so sorry we dont have enough money for that. I went in, paid for my fuel, told the girl behind the counter to charge to my card the fuel on the mum's pump and five icecreams, five bottles of water and a large block of chocolate. I then instructed the girl not to tell the mum who had paid. i went back to my car, moved the car to where i could watch the mum and the girl as the mum tried o pay for her fuel. I have no idea who the mum was, had never seen her before and never saw her since, but i tell you what, the look on that mums face as she came out of the shop with tears streaming down her face carrying the icecreams , drinks and chocolate is one i will never forget.
i have done similar things for friends, without them knowing it and for other people who i dont know, but the joy of just doing something for someone because i can, because God has blessed me, and i want to share the blessings i receive is such a great feeling.
have a go, be the love of God to strangers, perform random acts of kindness, it started a revolution in a least one church i was part of.
someone got the idea that it would be nice to put a note with a word of encouragement and a token of some description into everyones newsletter pigeon hole, not just once but several times. not too long after the pigeon holes were being filled with all sorts of notes bearing kind words thoughts etc. not all of them were anonymous, but it spread love through the whole congregation.

that you have love for one another"
