The Tempter still walks the earth and does it's job. It's biggest accomplishment was getting the Gentile church to accept rule over the kingdoms of man by teaming up with state 1700 years ago. The position was vacant as Jesus had previously rejected the offer while out in the desert. It's a shame when humans mistake the Kingdom of Jesus' Gospel for the kingdoms of man.
