There is a time coming
When all that we know
Will all be left behind.
Fancy houses and modern science
Will prove to be shamed.
High fashions and inflated egos
Will not have influence to The King.
No works of good or knowledge supreme
Will be a ticket to enter
The city of eternal life with
God and all His splendor.

Quicker than we realize
That nothing earthly matters.
Who are we really trying to impress?
We need to ask this everyday
And keep ourselves in check.
For my desires are way up high
Far above and beyond.
That I might know Him truly
As I praise Him all eternity.
All I desire is to do His will
And to hear Him say to me:
"Your name is here in the Book of Life,
And with you I am pleased."
