Friday, November 21, 2008, 8:55 a.m. – The Lord gave me A VISION:
I saw a snake on the floor, only part of its body was suspended in space with its head raised up high (I believe it was a copperhead). I saw the snake as though it was right in front of my face, eye ball to eye ball. Its body weaved in and out and around and at one point it appeared as though it had tied itself into a knot.
After I saw the snake, I heard this song: East To West / Casting Crowns
… Jesus, can You show me just how far the east is from the west
'cause I can't bear to see the man I've been come rising up in me again
In the arms of Your mercy I find rest
'cause You know just how far the east is from the west
From one scarred hand to the other
I start the day, the war begins, endless reminding of my sin
Time and time again Your truth is drowned out by the storm I'm in

I know You've washed me white, turned my darkness into light
I need Your peace to get me through, to get me through this night

Then, I saw the face of Ted Kennedy followed by Bobby Kennedy followed by JFK.
I then heard someone call my name, “Sue.”
I saw the head of Dwight D. Eisenhower, front and center and high up. It looked like a hologram.
I saw the face of an actor who played the role of an FBI agent in the movie, Shooter: Michael Peña: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0671567/.
Then, these words were repeated: I'm not holding on to You, but You're holding on to me. You're holding on to me…
Everything then went completely white. I heard, “Adios, Amigo,” and then I saw the face of the actor, again, who played the role of the FBI agent. I asked the Lord if that was it, and he said “Kaput,” which means “ruined; done for; demolished; unable to operate or continue; broken.” END
Michael Peña plays the role of an FBI agent in Shooter who begins going after Bob Lee, thinking he is the assassin, but he gets suspicious when the clues don’t add up the way the government is projecting them, so he conducts his own private investigation and learns that not everything that the government is projecting is on the “up and up.” Eventually, he joins Swagger in a quest for truth and revenge.
Michael Peña, a Mexican American, was born in Chicago, Illinois, where his father worked at a button factory and his mother was an assistant to a social worker.

Clean Garments for the High Priest
1 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right side to accuse him. 2 The LORD said to Satan, "The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?"
3 Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel. 4 The angel said to those who were standing before him, "Take off his filthy clothes."
Then he said to Joshua, "See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put rich garments on you."
5 Then I said, "Put a clean turban on his head." So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him, while the angel of the LORD stood by.
6 The angel of the LORD gave this charge to Joshua: 7 "This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'If you will walk in my ways and keep my requirements, then you will govern my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here.
8 " 'Listen, O high priest Joshua and your associates seated before you, who are men symbolic of things to come: I am going to bring my servant, the Branch. 9 See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua! There are seven eyes on that one stone, and I will engrave an inscription on it,' says the LORD Almighty, 'and I will remove the sin of this land in a single day.
10 " 'In that day each of you will invite his neighbor to sit under his vine and fig tree,' declares the LORD Almighty."
My Understanding: First off, the Lord gave me a personal word of encouragement here that when Satan comes before him to accuse me that the Lord is my defense!
Secondly, I see that the snake represents Satan. His head is raised up and he is in position to attack; to ambush his prey. And, his prey are the children of God whom are under the Lord’s protection. After Satan (the snake) comes to accuse the brethren, the Lord demonstrates his saving grace by removing the servant’s filthy garments, declares that his sins are forgiven, and he replaces the filthy garments with rich garments. That is also demonstrated in the words to the song, East to West, which followed the image of the snake in my vision.
Ok, it appears that the Lord is using me here to illustrate this idea of a single person representing a nation, which in this case is the United States of America. And, my “associates” appear to be the Kennedy brothers (all Roman Catholic and Democrats) and Dwight D. Eisenhower (Presbyterian and Republican). The Lord called me by my name. John F. Kennedy was the next president following Dwight D. Eisenhower. Eisenhower was president from 1953 to 1961 and Kennedy was president from 1961 until his death in 1963 (I was 13 yrs old). Eisenhower died in 1969. Bobby died in 1968. Ted Kennedy is still living but has cancer.
Barack Obama was born in 1961, the year that Eisenhower left office and Kennedy took the oath of office. He is also a Democrat following a two-term Republican president, just like JFK did. But, he doesn’t necessarily fit here.
I read this in my Zondervan NIV Bible Commentary about the stone (v.9):
- Jesus was the stumbling stone and rock of offense
- He is to be the smiting stone to the nations
- At present he is the foundation and chief cornerstone of the church
About the seven eyes, the commentary suggests that they speak of the fullness of the Holy Spirit or of the Godhead. The removing of the sin in a single day is believed to be Jesus’ blood atonement for our sins when he died on the cross at Calvary. And, at his return, our salvation will be complete. Peace and security for God’s people will follow. God’s purpose for Israel will become a reality in the Messianic kingdom.
My notes from the commentary: Joshua’s clean turban was a symbol of the future purging of Israel and her priestly reinstatement. The angel of the Lord standing by says that God was approving and directing this purging, clothing and crowning.
The closing verse, according to my commentary, pictures Israel’s future condition under divine favor and blessing when there will be no more curse. The vine and the fig tree, according to the commentary, symbolize spiritual and agricultural blessing.
Verse 10 states that “in that day” each of us will invite his neighbor… Mexico is our neighbor and the vision ended with a man who is Mexican-American. But, it also ended with judgment of God against our nation and government, I believe. This could also be the meaning of removing the sin of this land in a single day.
