Leaving the corn fields of Iowa, going thru the rainstorms in Nebraska, this morning we are in Limon, Colorado on our way to deliver in Aurora, Co, then off to Liberal, Kansas. The weather last night was stormy and the winds so high, we were rocked to sleep. Our truck is air ride, so the winds gently rock the truck. I read a post by a Pastor I follow, F. Frangipane and he was discussing a "fast on Judgment". Boy this hit me hard, being in the Trucking Industry I used to be afraid of all the unshaven, rough looking drivers, then a thought came to me...if you don't have to go to the office, and have little contact with anyone like on your days off how do you look...well there you have it. I now see the hard working husbands and fathers giving up time with their families to live this lonely existence. So today I start this fast, and instead of judging I will give mercy and see these fellow travelers as God sees them. We are blessed, I get to travel with my husband as more and more wives my age are. It has truly been a gift, to live a meager existence, to not focus on what you have but who you are. God is meeting us right here in this 75 sq ft, telling us we are not alone.
