First, I am a Christian, in the biblical sense of the word. I am a Believer in Jesus Christ, the son of the Living God. I have trusted in Him for my Salvation, Forgiveness of Sins, and Justification before God. My life is hid with Christ in God. I believe in His soon Return. I am indwelt by His Spirit, and I have been Baptized in the Holy Spirit. I have been baptized in water as well, as a sign of my faith in Him. By any normal measure, I am a Christian.
Secondly, I have come to accept the Doctrines of Grace as the Truth of Scripture, not by indoctrination, but by my own reading of the Scriptures, and meditation on them. I consider myself to be a Reformed Christian, which are sometimes called Calvinists. I usually don't wear the name Calvinist, but I do defend their beliefs. I have some differences with Calvinist doctrines, but not the main ones. I am not cessationist, I believe the Gifts of the Spirit are given and in operation today, as God Wills, and by His Will. I have operated in several of them at various times, never at my own bidding or choosing, but as God granted them. I have seen God perform miracles, including raising my wife from the dead.
Thirdly, over the last year or so, there has been an increasing number of attacks made on me by anti-Calvinists who at various times posted in the Soteriology forum. In the course of the discussions, they repeatedly attacked and made false statements about Calvinism, Calvinists, and tried to promote doctrines that the Calvinists showed time and again to not be scriptural. In some cases, I was at the forefront of calling out and refuting such false doctrines, which apparently angered some of them to the point where, after they were banned for rules violations (not at my behest, despite their bogus claims) they have tried to come back in under "sock puppet" accounts, to harass and needle me.
At various times, I have been accused of "ruling" the Soteriology forum, of having mods and admins "in my back pocket" and "doing my bidding", My son has been accused of being my "hatchet man", I have been accused of being the head of a "gang of Four" Calvinists who "rule" over the Soteriology forum, and so forth. All of these allegations are demonstrably and provably untrue, and are a product of the over-active imaginations of a group of immature whiners who were bested in discussions because they had no real depth in their own understanding, and clearly no understanding of that which they thought to oppose, but couldn't abide being bested in debate by "evil" Calvinists.
Lately, one or more of them has begun posting personal information about me, such as my real name, phone number, and email address, thinking I suppose to intimidate me, and force me to issue some sort of sniveling apology and grovel before them, begging for forgiveness, and basically falling on my own sword. I will not apologize for defending the truth.
Recently I found one of the former posters has a blog of her own, called "Words of a Fether". Her name is Paula Fether, and she posted in CF as 2thePoint for a time. I have sent several emails to her blog as comments, and a couple she posted, with snarky remarks in reply, but the latest she posted a reply to, but did not post my comment, ostensibly so she would not have to explain why she accused me falsely about a matter, and so she can maintain her chosen persona of the "great crusader for truth, and great crusader against Calvinists". She accuses me of hypocrisy, while being a hypocrite herself. Pinkman, who also went by Black Adder, also posts there, under the name of "Ex CF Member", and also the name "Bob". What astounds me is that she actually approves of their actions against me, and defends them.
As more of this drama unfolds, I will post pertinent info here, including some of the more egregious attacks, just so others can see the irrational hatred and idiocy of these hypocrites.
