Last week was a good week. I was very surprised at how well the nine mile run went. I walked every two miles for one minute, drank some water (mixed with gatorade) and ate a Shot Blok at mile 4. Wasn't all that sore the next day either. Took Sunday off (my day of rest...a reward for working out all week ).
Our friend next door signed up for the marathon as well, as did a friend of my husband who lives in Florida. Looks like we are going to have a group with us...that will make it even more fun. I don't think any of us will run it together since we all have different paces...but at least we can get each other pumped up before the race and we can share our stories of victory (I'm thinking positive here) after we are finished.

Also have started doing some weight training on tues, wed, and thurs (mostly upper body and lots of sit-ups).
