  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is there a God?

Well of course, it depends on the definition of God. Let’s say God is the one who designed life.

Science-fiction pondered on the thought that if you make a very advanced computer, it can possibly become alive... We won't know if that’s possible unless it actually happens one day. But even if it does, an intelligent being (i.e. man) has to create that computer.

Are we to assume that life today was created only by accident? … chemicals (not alive) came together and started communicating, grouping together and they eventually created things such as the ability to reproduce, touch, hear in stereo (requiring 2 ears), see in 3D (requiring 2 eyes), smell, taste and think. And then of course, have life all by accident?

Seems likely there was intelligence in our design.
