  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am to be baptized this sunday!!

This has been the most nervous I have ever been in a long time. I feel there has to be more to this than just showing up and saying whats on your mind. I have never been baptized, but I am honoured to show publicly my covenant with Jesus.

I am a little scared, because the enemy is trying to scare me off. I am not scared enough to stop the baptism. I am honoured that the church is allowing me to take part in such an amazing thing. This is like being able to do what my father does, and I love it!! I want to serve, and labour for Jesus. I want to do everything that is acceptable in his eyes.

I just hope that I don't mess anything up or something. When things come up, I get kinda nervous and unintentionally stutter or fall or something. Thank you Jesus for giving me this oppertunity to be part of your body.

I pray heavenly Father, that you guide me to do what is right before, during and after the baptism. I pray that you flood me with your Holy Spirit so I can serve you God. I pray that you keep those in the church safe and blessed. I pray for the pastor who blesses me, to do what is right in your eyes. I pray for you to prepare my heart for this special event. I pray to be right with you God. In Jesus name I pray....Amen
