In Hebrews 3:3 we see that Christ Jesus was "better" (the key word in Hebrews) than Moses (just as Hebrews shows that Christ Jesus was better than the angels, the prophets, Joshua, the law and old covenant.) We can all so see the following similarities between Jesus and Moses:
Both would leave or come out of Egypt.
Both would pass through waters of "baptism" (Moses crossing the Red Sea).
Both would enter the wilderness for 40 (40 years for Moses, 40 days for Jesus).
Both went up a mountain to deliver God's message.
(Moses had to come off Mt. Sinai to deliver 10 com. Jesus gave the sermon on the mount.)
So much like the above that is often overlooked at first reading.
