God is Good

Success!!!
I am so happy & and finally at peace.
Thank God the computer I was working on for soooo long is fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It really was like plan z. I just thought I'd try "one mope thing" this last effort was really a half hearted one, since by this time I'd come to think nothing (short of installing a totally new copy of Windows) would work.

This time, by the grace of God, I noticed when trying to install the Acronis image file...somthing popped up (that didn't happen before) that mentioned "couldn't find the NVRAIDBUS file in the Windows Xp installation/files." That made me think: maybe trying to install things over this stupid AMD motherboard/BIOS isn't hopeless afterall. OK there is no fix anywhere in Windows or on the computer... but maybe there is a fix for the chipset/bios somewhere online.
Thankfully it was connected to NVIDIA as well (since they have a great website with full support).
Ah but the thing was, that even if they did have a fiz/patch- which they did... it probably wouldn't run since Windows couldn't run on the machine. It was like a circular catch 22.Cant run Windows because of the missmatch with the AMD board, but can't patch the mismatch unless I can run Windows to run the program. So I thought I'd just try running it on the other computer, doing another image backup after the program was run, and then another restore to a drive in the computer.
I thought the chances of this were slim because most programs like this (including ones from NVIDIA, which I have tried before) once they open and check- if you don't have the hardware on your computer to match... they tell you...and then shut down. I can't believe it actually did run!!! Though I found out later when I ran it again on the other coputer- it really didn't run fully...but who cares, it did enough to install something somewhere in Windows to make it compatable with the other computer! PTL!

Even if they had to bring it in to a shop and buy a new Windows installation, whoever was working on it would have to do the same kind of thing (so I read) and install the NVIDIA AMD drivers beforehand (or merge them into the Windows installation program).

Yes I know this was a whole lot of "tech talk" but I am so thrilled to be over this (and completed).
This teaches me this above all else: Always make a copy of an image burn/iso of your whole computer! Acronis's program is good, and Nero Burn too (and there are some free programs too).
Even if you have original installation disks, why lose all your work, pics etc? Plus, those originals don't contain Microsoft Updates one may have done, or the ever important SP packs...
