frustrated by this person's behavior

OK so I can post here again

That is good news but I am going to post here about something that frustrates me really badly!!

I have a 'friend' who thinks she is so awesome... while it is good to have a good self esteem I suppose, this friend thinks very highly of herself and constantly comments on it and how important she is. She thinks she is on great terms with the pastor and apparently that means she is important sigh she is on the same terms as anyone else but in her eyes she is best mates. She has an overinflated sense of her own importance and has to let everyone know how important she is. If you compliment her on a new haircut saying how nice a cut it is she will say 'I know' instead of 'thank you'. It is so hideous to be around. even if you joke about how great she is to make light of it to try and make her see a bit of what she is doing she thinks youre serious and saying that she is great!!!

she puts others down to make herself look good too.



she has some good qualities but I am afraid I will end up like her if I hang out with her too much
you know that thing about you become like those you hang around with... thats what scares me. and when I'm around her I end up wanting to say things that are kind of like that about myself or things I've done and that is so concerning. the longer I'm friends with her the more difficult it is not to rise to the bait on that and that concerns me. does pride breed pride?

I dont know what to do about it.
and when I talked to her today on the phone it was not a nice experience.

so that is my gripe for the day.
