So we have 4 days left in this fast, the countdown is on LOL. It has been rough as far as I have a hard time getting full on this diet and I eat non stop, I often am left feeling like a pig, I don't think I have ever eaten this much in my whole life, and I have found that I have gained weight while every one else has lost it.
Anyways, I got into a discussion with my boss today about God, unintentional of course but it was brought up and it was going good until he said that he didn't believe there was a hell because his God wouldn't do that. This bothers me even now and that was 5 hours ago. It saddens me and breaks my heart that people are so decieved as that, and I know there is nothing that I can say to him to get him to change his mind. Are people really that lost? It bothers me to think that people are led to believe that they can take what they want from the Bible and throw the stuff they don't like away, we can't just pick and choose what to believe out of the Bible. He even told me that the Bible was written by well intentioned people, that it is just organized religion that we are enslaved to because it keeps us from living how the book says to not how we want. I just wish there is some sort of magic words that I could say that are so profound that it would change the way he viewed his truth.
Jesus,
You came to show us the way, as an example of how we should live. I don't really know where we as the human race went so wrong and became so decieved that we believe that we can live how we want to without consequece. Help us Jesus to cling to you, to seek your face every minute of the day and give us the words to say that will make a difference in someone elses life. Let your light so shine through us that there is no denial of who you are. I thank you Jesus for what you have done in my life regardless of all the wrong that I have done, thank you that you continually love me and that you have never left me and never will. I pray that you word continues to flow like a wild fire that can not be extinquested. Let your praises in habit the universe as we sing your praises. I ask for your grace and mercy and blessings as we bring this night to a close and the new day to a new beginning....amen!
