Conversion from the self-serving ways of man to the otherness of the Kingdom is not an emotional decision but an intellectual one. One must first understand why God thinks our world is backwards, and they will then better appreciate the alternative and, as a result, be less likely to fall away from the Kingdom. The Kingdom is not made in the world's image, so Christian support of the latter might be seen as a red flag.
How can we be aligned with God if we constantly demand to do things our own way? The whole purpose of life is to learn we are not as smart as we think. We need to grow up to grow out of this existence.
