Claudia shook her head. "No." she looked at Miguel, forcing her eyes to focus on his face. "My son could be dead for all I know. No mother should have to live longer than her child." she said, her voice breaking as tears rolled down her face.
Miguel stepped closer to her, wiping tears away with his thumb. Without looking at Charlie he said "Go look up the boy, see if he has any of his mother's regeneratave DNA." Charlie nodded and rushed over to a computer. While he worked Miguel comforted Claudia. "He's probably got some of you in him."
She just shook her head. "No no, he's just like his father. He's unstable, he never had healing as a child. Why would he now?"
Miguel rubbed her upper arm with one hand. "Maybe it was just dormant. You can't give up, not without a fight."
Charlie laughed. "Miguel, he's alive and still looks about twenty five years old."
Claudia looked past Miguel, at the screen. It showed pictures of him from when he was growing up in the orphanage to him living now. She walked over to stand at the control panel next to Charlie. Another tear rolled down her cheek. "Where is he?"
Charlie hit a few buttons on the keyboard before an address popped up on screen. "5626 Bad Wolf road." Charlie read. "That's only a few blocks from here."
Claudia turned to look at Miguel. "Please. You have to let me see him."
Miguel nodded. "Charlie stay here. We're gonna go see him."
Charlie nodded as Claudia rushed back to the elevator, ready to go. The walk over seemed to drag on forever so Miguel asked. "What's his name?"
Claudia looked at him. "Ranger Crane. He's so much like his father. A love for poisons, the insanity he has...yet he still cared for Harmony more than anything. I don't get it."
Miguel looked ahead of them. "What was his father like?" he asked.
"Insane, brilliant, bonkers, handsome, completely out of his mind, perfect and yet so sadistic." Claudia said, listing words that describe him.
Miguel nodded. "Who was his father?"
"Doctor Jonathan Crane." she responded.
Miguel looked at her. "You're kidding?"
She shook her head uncertainly.
Miguel laughed. "Wow, my parents studied his work, never could figure out why."
Claudia shuddered in response. "He was sick and twisted." she said.
Miguel nodded. "I know. What made you get with him?"
Claudia shrugged. "I was drunk, we were in Vegas. Piece the rest together."
Miguel nodded and they walked in silence the rest of the way.
