Today, at church, we started a new series on Proverbs. In our bulletin today, this list was added. I thought I would share it here.

Characteristics and Actions of a Wise Heart:​

1. Listens​

2. Adds to his learning​

3. Gets guidance​

4. Listens to his Father and Mother​

5. Will not follow the sinner's ways​

6. Accepts the words of the wise​

7. Stores up God's commands in his heart​

8. Calls out for insight and understanding​

9. Binds love and faithfulness around his neck and on his heart​

10. Trusts in the Lord​

11. Does not trust himself​

12. Is humble​

13. Honors the Lord with the first fruits of his wealth​

14. Does not despise God's Discipline​

15. Does not allow sound judgement and discernment out of his sight​

16. Will do good when he can​

17. Will give when he has it​

18. Will not plan harm to others​

19. Will not accuse for no reason​

20. Will not envy evil men​

21. Will love, esteem, and embrace wisdom​

22. Will hold on to instruction​
