Someone once told me that people have a difficult time in changing, especially when there are too many changes that come at once. Perhaps that is true.
We are sedentary creatures. We like things to remain the same, and fight tooth and nail to make it stay the way things are.
Personally, I like change. Change makes life exciting. Change keeps the mind going. Change enables us to grow no matter how difficult that may be.
I don't think God intended for us to stay the same. If that were so, then we would still be in the stone age. New ideas wouldn't come forth. We would still be thinking the world is flat instead of round. There would be no need for exploration beyond our own shores.
We all take change in different ways. Perhaps we should do a little kicking and screaming to make sure what is being done is for the good of everyone, and not just a select few.
Reminds me of the Borg in the newer "Star Trek" series. "Resisitance is futile." Perhaps. Perhaps not. Change is inevidable. How we accept it depends a lot on acceptance of what is and how we wish or want them to be.
