I've recently joined a Bible Study Group, you'll be pleased to know. We're doing Exodus. Its all pretty fresh for me but some of the veterans in my group tend to know a lot already. I sometimes think I'd be better suited to a beginners class, as the more experienced ones dominate. They know nuances of meaning and background knowledge. Its impressive but not necessarily helpful.
Also I'd prefer to see us spend more time on application. I mean how can this help my current life? What does it mean in regard to my own relationship with God. (the Israelites and God)If we had more time and deeper fellowship, I think this could be achieved. Otherwise, it might stay fairly superficial.
