Today was a great day! I was talking to a friend of mine who has been coming to church for the meal that is offered there. He usually doesn't stay for the bible study afterwards, but he really has attached to me and I have felt for a long time that I was meant to help him.

He called to talk about his computer, as he does most times. Not long ago I was just like him, that is spending the majority of my time on the computer playing games, watching movies, etc. instead of spending that time with God.

I prayed for God to give me the words to say to bring my friend to Christ.

I started to talk about putting God first in life, and to look for Him in all things. He fell silent. He then defended his use of computers, but I felt I should stop him and ask him how much time did he send on his computer. He said that he used it for most of the day. I then asked how much time he spent with God. He fell silent.

What I had said rang true with him, and he even commented this to his dad. I then spoke of listening to his personal convictions, and to refrain from these things that take him away from God. I explained to him what it felt like when the Holy Spirit came over me. I told him that he knew what to do (his dad is a born again Christian and had already planted the seed).

I had already promised the pastor at a local church that I would come and help them set up, so I told him that God loves him unconditionally, and so did I, and hung up the phone.

Ten minutes later I get a call from him. He was extremely excited and wanted to tell me that the Holy Spirit had touched him and felt as if he was about to explode with happiness and joy. I encouraged him to rejoice and I was filled up with joy and rejoiced with him breaking out into song.

His parents came home with his favorite food in time to hear their son singing praise. They asked him what was wrong and he told them that he was going to heaven! I prayed and thanked God for using me as His vessel. I got in the car and headed out to help set up for tomorrow's service. On the way there I was listening to the local Christian radio station when a praise song came on, and I felt the Holy Spirit come over me again. All the hair on my legs stood up giving me goosebumps. I sang out loud praising God for the work He had done through me.

Our God is truly a merciful God, a God worthy of our praise!
