Why are Sheba, Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish specifically mentioned in Ezekiel 38, verse 13?

13. Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?
Most theologians assume they are simply bystanders or observers of an invasion focused on Israel because of verses, 11 and 14, where Israel is dwelling safely within it's own borders.
11. And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
14. Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?
But this certainly does not accurately describe the situation there today as Palestinian homemade Qassam rockets rain down on Israeli towns almost everyday. However, the Saudis, Sheba and Dedan, are dwelling safely and living peacefully within unwalled cities of gigantic, luxurious skyscrapers and billionaire shieks. When I think of great riches as is mentioned in verse 13, I think of the 5-star hotels and restaurants, mega oil wealthy bllionaires driving Mercedes, diamonds, gold, and Arabian horses that live better than most middle class people. And now, it seems the rich Saudi government has decided it has the omnipotence to ban the Gregorian calendar in that country. In fact, no business can now be conducted there using the normal dating system recognized by the rest of the world. In the Bible, the antichrist "seeks to change times and laws" - Daniel 7:25.

Israel is full of walled cities including Jerusalem as well as the West Bank barrier, 470 miles long...twice the length of the 1949 Armistice Line, Green Line, between the West Bank and Israel with vehicle-barrier trenches surrounded by an on average 200 ft. wide exclusion area supporting a 26 ft. tall concrete wall and the Gaza Strip barrier, a 23 30 ft. wall separating Gaza from Egypt. What is wrong with this picture? Today's current situation in Israel does not at all agree with verse 11. If someone wanted to invade the Middle East at this time for booty, why go up against a heavily fortified and militarized country like Israel that has no oil or great wealth like Saudi Arabia does? More than likely, the reason Sheba, Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish are asking why Gog is coming to take a great spoil is because they are all targets of the invasion, not Israel...at least initially. But if they themselves were being threatened, it would be a much different story...wouldn't it? No, I think there is much more to this scenario than first meets the reader's understanding. Remember, the U.S. and NATO...the young lions of Tarshish...have air and naval bases in Saudi Arabia...the merchants of Tarshish are undoubtably their oil customers. Again, if Israel is the target why even mention Sheba and Dedan? I doubt very seriously that the Saudis would care in the least bit to ask why a Muslim coalition would want to invade the Jews. In fact, just the opposite, they would be thinking good riddance...finally, a solution to the Zionist problem in the Middle East. And you can bet, the world media will be covering this event with every resource they have availble. There will be no shortage of eyes watching and mouths asking what Gog's intentions are. So why, specifically, are Sheba, Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish asking? Perhaps this incursion will be initiated by a [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]te Muslim coalition under the guise of some sort of Islamic peacekeeping force claiming to come only to squelch civil unrest, maybe in Syria or Iraq or both. Now, this mammoth invasion will most assuredly spill over and take up almost all of the Middle East, which includes Israel...who will not escape its momentum with an extra incentive to wipe the Jews from off the face of the Earth while they are pillaging it.

But, apparently, they probably have underestimated and don't realize just how safe and secure Israel really is, as the end of verse 14 asks, "shalt thou not know it?" And this is where I believe Israel will break out its arsenal of neutron bombs (clean nukes) on the hordes of rabid, anti-semitic Ishmaeites, Persians, Russians and whoever else is with them. And if this isn't enough to stop them, the LORD Himself will intervene:

In the first part of this verse where Ezekiel states "I will turn thee back", I wonder if a better translation might be "I will set thee back" instead since, recently, it has been speculated that the Israeli secret intelligence service, Mossad, conducted cyber attacks on Iran with the stuxnet computer virus and assassinated a nuclear scientist. These covert actions are said to have been done in an attempt to set back the Iranian nuclear program and stall its possible development of atomic weapons. It might also be referring to an air assault by the Israeli Air Force on those nuclear facilities which would most likely set back their program by several years. Regardless, however, it appears from the rest of the verse that these tactical manuevers only delay the inevitable and result in a massive invasion from their ememies.
