Why make Satan a woman?

I thought the portrayal of Satan was perfect. The fact that so many people thought it was a guy shows how androgynous the part really was. Not to mention that, male or female, the actress had the perfect look and expression. She was not really beautiful, or ugly either. Yet there was an odd attractiveness about her as well. Creepy.

I totally agree. I thought it was a very feminine looking man playing the part of Satan. I didn't know till later that is was a Woman who played that part. Your right. She was not really beautiful, or ugly either. Yet there was an odd attractiveness about her.
