Peace in Christ.

A much overlooked detail: the abomination of desolation is SPOKEN of by Daniel the prophet. It does not say WRITTEN by Daniel himself.

Mat 24:15
(15) When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand)

Daniel is written in 2 languages: Hebrew and Aramaic (chapters 2 -7).

The Hebrew parts of Daniel were WRITTEN by Daniel himself while the Aramaic parts of the book of Daniel were SPOKEN by Daniel but were written (translated into Aramaic) by another person other than Daniel.

For example in the Aramaic section of the book of Daniel, Daniel “spoke and said” everything that followed until the end of chapter 7:

Dan 7:2 KJV
(2) Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.

So when Jesus tells us that the “abomination of desolation” is SPOKEN of by Daniel the prophet, we must look in the Aramaic parts of Daniel (which are the spoken things of Daniel written by someone else) and not the Hebrew parts which are written by Daniel himself.

Daniel 11:31 mentions the “abomination that makes desolate” but this is from the WRITTEN in the Hebrew part. Daniel himself WRITES this.

Dan 11:31 KJV
(31) And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

The other verse (Daniel 12:11) that mentions the “abomination that makes desolate” is also written in Hebrew….which means Daniel wrote it.

Dan 12:11 KJV
(11) And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

Again, Daniel 8:13 is written in Hebrew.

Dan 8:13 KJV
(13) Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

These verses that are written in Hebrew by Daniel himself do not define what the “abomination” is that causes desolation.

Just as Jesus tells us, we must look at the SPOKEN parts of Daniel that are written in Aramaic by someone else who translated Daniel the prophet’s spoken words into written Aramaic.

Mat 24:15 KJV
(15) When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand)

From Daniel 5: “Then Daniel answered and SAID. Daniel 5 is written in Aramaic and is the “spoken” parts of Daniel that were written by someone else. Daniel was not talking about himself in 3rd person writing.

Whoso reads, let him understand: Daniel was able to “READ the writing” (whoso reads) on the wall and MAKE KNOWN (let him understand) the interpretation.

Dan 5:17 KJV
(17) Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.

God reveals to us what the “abomination of desolation” is in the Aramaic section of the book of Daniel.

It is man’s handwriting of ordinances found in the holy place. The holy place of the tabernacle of God contained the “candlestick”…the lampstand. It is in the King’s palace…on the plaster of the wall in the temple of God our King. God's placing of this handwriting done by a man's hand is showing us something deeper here that pertains to the holy place of our gathering together.

This is found in the “spoken” part of Daniel….in the Aramaic section of the book of Daniel.

Dan 5:5 KJV
(5) In the same hour came forth
fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.

When we shall "see" the abomination of desolation, we must also FEAR what we see....just as the king did....and FLEE.

Dan 5:6 KJV
(6) Then the king's countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.

We must flee into the mountains of God's righteousness instead of keeping man's handwritings which are standing in our gatherings in our worship of God.

Mat 24:16 KJV
(16) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

In the book of Daniel - Daniel does not claim to have spoken any part of it.

2 Peter 1:20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture becomes a matter of someone’s own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

You are making "a distinction without a difference" in your "spoken or written" suggestion
