When you're stressed (or even when your not), what helps you to calm down? Song/picture/book/something you say/do/etc.

For me, it's usually music.

Looking for Safety

(Seriously, the opening to this one just makes everything, sloooow dooooowwwwn)
Isolation

Then of course there's driving! Usually driving and listening to the radio!

And working on my 3D projects sometimes helps. :)

Music and a hot, hot, hot shower almost always helps. I'll put on my ipod in the stereo in the bathroom and get a steaming hot shower with the music up loud, and I almost always feel better when I'm done.

Sometimes playing WOW helps, but sometimes I need to get away from the computer to de-stress. Those times I'll lay on the couch and read or I'll watch Gilmore Girls.

In rare, I'm-going-to-kill-someone-if-I-don't-get-away-from-here-right-now moments, I'll throw the dog in the car and bring her to the beach. Especially if I do this around 4:00 in the afternoon, with the sun pretty low over the water, I can remember the important things, find some beauty in the world, and get past my homicidal urges. ;)
