God is love. Therefore, faith in God is faith in love (which is God’s Spirit). Since true love was revealed in Jesus, who sacrificed His life to free us (who were unfaithful to Him and sinned against Him) from sin; true faith is to believe in this type of love. We would, therefore, be merciful, (Matthew 9:13), compassionate, forgiving (Luke 6:37), humble, gentle, self-controlled, patient, generous, faithful, kind and pure of heart (Galatians 5:24-26). In addition, we would do good acts not because the law requires them, or we are afraid of punishment, or we want to be rewarded; but because we love God.

I would say that is super sweet and in the Spirit of Jesus?

But there is no reason to cling to verses with numbers, as the Lord brings them to mind as one goes?

Is there something in specific you want?

... as for the title itself...

It is well said love gives, faith receives.

That is faith is accepting the love given.

...

That is the relationship between the two.

Dear arunangelo. Yes, God is Love, and you described love very well, not only being all-loving, also that God wants us to do loving and beneficial acts of love and mercy to others. Faith is to believe what you cannot see, yet hope for, and know for sure that it will happen. We love God and know that God loves us. Why do we believe that? Because we have faith that God is who He says He is, and God made us in His image. How can we tell? We have the faith to believe it, also we are the only beings in this Universe which can think and reason. We know what is Love, because Jesus showed us, we know that God could have given up on us, but God send Jesus God-Son to pay our debt to God`s Holy Law, and reconciled us to God. Jesus died out of Love for us, God raised Jesus out of love for us, and we have the free will to choose eternity with God and each other. We truly believe this, because we have FAITH in God, our Heavenly Father. Our love for God we can show by following His Commandments: to love selflessly and beneficially. The relationship between faith and love? It is what God wants from us, also what we give to God. I say this with love, arunangelo. Greetings from Emmy, sister in Christ.

Faith and love from God - rather than faith and love from man - is you becoming invincible like Jesus who died for us in his earthly body so that we can be new-born in healthy mind and body .:*:. Free from all diseases and sudden death from accidents or natural disasters, the power of faith is so actively strong like electricity, we the believers of Christianity can never suffer Satan's attacking evil force that is sin - as long as we remain committed to obeying the Word of God, and become frequent worshippers in church or bible class home cell groups .:*:. Visiting church weekly is so important for me because my Lord Jesus is my judge and I can see his healing miracle power of the holy spirit work constantly through Christians who want to sing, pray and listen to the pastor's sermon teachings .:*:. The church prayer ministry team put their hands on the heads or shoulders of church members in the front of the stage, while praying together so that the healing powerful holy spirit becomes strong in healing all diseases and emotional disastrous problems such as depression and family violence .:*:. It's like going to the car-wash at the service station to cleanse your earthly mind and body from Satan's constant attack .:*:.

Faith unifies us to God through the Mediator of Christ, and love is what we find awaiting us in that happy and eternal union.

For this reason the scriptures say, "If anyone does not love our Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed." I Cor. 16:22a. An unbeliever is not directly "anathema" because he does not love Christ...He is really "anathema" primarily because he is devoid of pardoning, justifying faith in Christ, since that saving faith would have spiritually united him to Christ, and divine love would have been the most dominate of all virtues that he would have found so abundantly present in such a lovely and loving Savior.

Saving faith and divine love stand or fall together.

...We through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision avails any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which works by love.
<-----> Galatians 5:5+6

Faith gives us the inspiration for love to provide our godly motivation .

And hope keeps us coming back for more .

And now abides faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. <-----> 1st Corinthians 13:13

Charity is love in action , or love bearing fruit .

And encompasses much more than giving / sharing materially .

Generously giving someone our time , attention , respect .

Kindly offering our empathy , forgiveness , encouragement .

These all express love through deliberate acts , of doing unto others , as we would have them do unto us .

Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: <-----> 1st Timothy 1:5

The goal of all godly commands is to instruct / inspire us to believe in and become one with God's Spirit of Love .

Let all your things be done with charity. <-----> 1st Corinthians 16:14

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. <-----> 1st Peter4:8

And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. <-----> Colossians 3:14
