Ever heard of "The Encounter", or "A Chance Encounter", or, "A Perfect Stranger", and "Another Perfect Stranger",

Those are my top four right now...

You can find them all on YouTube...

God Bless!

God Bless!

I seen "Encounter: Paradise Lost" and the first episode of the TV series called "Encounter." But I did not see "Encounter" the movie.

I did not see the original "Encounter" movie because I did not care so much for "Encounter: Paradise Lost." While I really wanted to like Encounter: Paradise Lost, I really hated the Eternal Security message they pushed in it. The actor who played Jesus in the film said that the one man's sister who died from an overdose of doing drugs was saved. That is not what I believe the Bible teaches. A person has to forsake their sins as a natural fruit of repentance to be saved. They have to do more than just confess their sins to Jesus. They have to also forsake their sins, too. In other words, in the film, she died in a state of doing a sin but her one time decision for Christ saved her. But I do not believe that is biblical or moral.

As for "A Perfect Stranger" and "Another Perfect Stranger": Well, no offense, but they kind of look a little too low budget for my tastes. I did see "The Perfect Gift" with my wife (despite it being low budget). The same actor who played Jesus in the Perfect Stranger was in it. It was also low budget but a little watchable. He plays Jesus in this film, too. However, after having watched the movie, I noticed that it pushed idolatry that goes on in various churches today. The film centered around the importance of putting up statue of Mary and Joseph in a manger as a part of Christmas, etc. The problem is that I do not believe in creating idol images. I believe it is a violation of idolatry command given to us in Exodus 20.

No offense. But this does not seem like a Christian movie to me.

None taken. It's a fantasy story in a similar vein to Narnia with a lot of Christian overtones. One of the main characters is obviously a Christ-like standin much the same way that Aslan was in that series. It got through to me.
