Yes, North Dakota police dropped chemicals from the air, drew their weapons and used militarized force on peaceful protectors who had their hands up.

Excerpted from the following article: 21 Arrested During Peaceful Prayer Ceremony at Standing Rock

The Morton County Sheriff's Department, whose officers used mace and unleashed dogs on Dakota Access Pipeline protestors earlier this month, sent in armored vehicles and arrested 21 people Wednesday at two sites. But a video released by those at the Sacred Ground Camp shows unarmed protestors conducting a prayer ceremony involving the planting of willow and corn.

"We had a really nice ceremony," said a Sicangu Lakota grandmother. "Then we looked and over that way, there were a few police and the next thing we knew there were 40 police all in riot gear."

Police moved in as peaceful demonstrators stood with their hands up. The video then shows officers confronting the protestors, grabbing women and ordering everyone into their cars.

"I've never had a gun pointed at me," said the grandmother. "I went into shock."

In a press release issued Wednesday by the Morton County Sheriff's Department, they allege that "a protester on horseback charged at an officer in what was viewed as an act of aggression."

Another video shows at least three riders on horseback but does not show any "charging" toward officers. At least one officer raised his weapon toward the civilians even as they shouted, "We are unarmed. We have no weapons."

According to the Indian Country news site, Indianz.com, Morton County Sheriff Kyle Kirchmeier "has previously come under fire for spreading his own rumors. As thousands began to flock to North Dakota in early August, he claimed there were pipe bombs at the encampment but resisters told The New York Times that he was mistaken by the presence of sacred Chanunpa pipes used during ceremonies."

The military-style show of force came as a surprise to the 60-vehicle caravan traveling to three sacred sites. The first of these was the Sacred Ground Camp, where ancestral sites have been desecrated. This was the location of the Sept. 3 attack using dogs. In a separate video posted by Indigenous EnviroNet on Twitter, they argue that North Dakota media has portrayed the protestors as violent and stress that their movement has always been about non-violence, prayer and peace.

Thomas H. Joseph II, who filmed one of the videos from yesterday's arrests, posted on Facebook, "Today's action where uncalled for, the police was a direct threat to woman and children."

This was broadcast on national television live and recorded.
No conspiracy - just big business as usual -
like the old truth "the poisoning of america" -
well known 'big brother', george orwell 1984,
and "the salt conspiracy" (it's in the title, from before 1950).

BIG BUSINESS. POLICIES. PRACTICES. LACK OF ANY CONSCIENCE.
What is the results ?
Death. Lots and lots of death.

I see the conspiracy section is leaking again.

Ah yes, the chemtrails....

Do either one of you have any idea whatsoever of what has been going on in Standing Rock? You mock the struggles of these water protectors when they are fighting for their very survival, for the protection of their water and their land, for the protection of their women and children, for their way of life and for their sovereignty rights.

Yes, people are trespassing and attempting to force people to stop doing their jobs building an oil pipe line. By preventing new pipe line capacity they are ensuring that the oil is moved by less safe means such as tanker car trains or trucks.

I used to be put off by people like you scoffing at everything you think is farfetched - dismissively calling it conspiracy.

Now, I honestly feel bad for people like that. I have been recently been thinking about how I used to be like that, and how embarrassed I was when I realized how many people I dismissed and ridiculed who were actually on to something, and just wanted to spread information.

It doesn't make you look intelligent. On the contrary, it makes you look ignorant. But, what a beauty it is to have your own mind, and own opinion, no?

I hope you come to understand entertaining something without necessarily believing it is a sign of a learned mind. And, calling things conspiracy as a colloquial term for "crazy" or "unmerited" (especially things that are not conspiracy by law) disservices not only the messenger, but also the persons being spoken of. It isn't cute.

No, it is not a conspiracy. It is business as usual when it comes to dealing with American Indians in this country. If it is not Standing Rock, it is Oak Flat and greedy politicians trying to sell sacred Apache land to a foreign mining company. If it is not Oak Flat, it is poisoning the water of 40% of the Navajo Nation. If it is not poisoning the water of 40% of the Navajo Nation, it is the push for fracking and other black snake oil pipelines on sovereign tribal lands. If it is not the push for fracking and other black snake oil pipelines on sovereign tribal lands, it is the continuous ongoing struggles that we, as a People, being marginalized, oppressed and discriminated against in this so called stolen land of the free and home of the brave since before this country's inception. It is what American Indians have had to deal with in this country for centuries.

Yes, and not just at Standing Rock.
Many other places, big business has trampled men, women and children AND
poisoned the ground and the water all over, every place, across the country.
Many are in the news this year, exposed for
POLLUTING the air, ground and water for many millions of people who have been made sick
by it,
for several decades (nothing new).
Especially bad is the RADIOACTIVE WASTE affecting large areas making people sick for 3 generations now.

Trespassing? How can a sovereign NDN Nation trespass on their own land, burial grounds and sacred sites? And if the pipeline was so crucial to construct than why was the original route for the pipeline changed and placed near the Standing Rock Sioux Nation reservation instead of 10 miles from the state capitol of Bismarck?

There is a dispute over a new oil pipe line, that is the issue. The only disservice is hitching chem trail nonsense to those who oppose the pipeline as it helps make their side less credible.

They dont. They are daggering to try and misdirect.

They have to be doing this, because I refuse to believe someone who actually knows what is going on with this would contend that it is about the protestors tresspassing, or that the boots on the ground are there to prevent the peaceful protestor from destroying the pipeline. That would be inhumane and dangerously negligent as a fellow human bein

So either they are entities, or they are just being flippant and distracting. I refuse to believe a human would use a very terrible situation to pedistal their own ridicule and incredulity.

By entering onto an active lawful construction site and attempting to force people to stop working.

That is not the entire dispute, and just because you say chemtrails are nonsense doesn't 0revent the US government from outline it in their geoengineering programs. You are just being incredulous because you can.

If you think that is all that is happening, you haven't been paying attention at all.

It's the entirety of the real dispute.

As I said, you're doing those who oppose the pipe line a disservice by lumping their cause in with this nonsense.

That is debatable, considering the Department of the Interior, the Department of Justice, the Department of the Army, and the Obama Administration disagree with the pipeline's construction, as well as the Standing Rock Sioux Nation, whose sovereignty rights and human rights are being stomped on by Energy Transfer Partners.

Joint Statement from the Department of Justice, the Department of the Army and the Department of the Interior

You still dont know what is going on, entity.
If you did, you wouldn't be on the proverbial teet of those people who are OCCUPYING native American land that is supposed to be protected.

There is a media blackout about this because it is downright wrong. And, people like you do everyone a disservice y pretending you know what is going on and defending an OCCUPATION of a PEACEFUL protest to protect PROTECTED LAND.

And, you are exposing yourself everytike you do it.

That is debatable,...

Such debating takes place in a court room, not on an active construction site. Until permits are pulled etc this is lawful work being done and those who chose to violate the law trying to force people to stop doing their jobs can expect to be arrested for trespassing or similar charges. Expecting arrest is part of civil disobedience after all.

As for the route of the pipeline it's the usual NIMBY argument that all construction projects, industrial ones more of all, face.
